state of the apartment address

It's a mess in here. I've spent days digging through bead boxes for custom order materials, received packages of new supplies for custom orders, and making a giant pile of sterling headpins (my most hated of all hated tasks). I've been gathering paperwork for taxes, and I'm still not done. I've been working on a craft swap project which is, as of Monday, officially late. (sorry, craft buddy)

Tonight I watched the State of the Union address while I made headpins, and found myself tremendously grateful to have a national leader who is able to inspire me to keep hoping and work harder. It's a great gift to be able to inspire people while telling them that there is a lot of shouting and scraping and saving and struggling still to be done. That's really all I have to say. It's a privilege to have two jobs - one to pay the rent, and another to feed my soul. To have someone remind me of the responsibilities that come with that privilege, while making me eager to live up to those responsibilities, is a joy.
